BlackBerry development stories by James Harnedy

A blog by James Harnedy about developing for BlackBerry.

Networking

Short post today, but nonetheless worthwhile. An intro to the funny world of networking transports available in BlackBerry. As a developer it may well blow your mind that you gota be so specific about which transports to use in your app and the variety of options available depending on the device, configuration and carrier network in use. Watch this video for a good overview. There are several code snippets out there but I found this one to be pretty good in terms of covering all the available options.
